UK Poo got its name on TikTok this summer, before anyone involved had a chance to choose one. It now has a sold-out show to its name, and its biggest song belongs to SAVVY.
Where the name came from
There’s a new genre of music growing on TikTok that I like to call UK Poo.
Cashyams on X, 15 July 2026
Cashyams, a musician from Nottingham, posted on X on 15 July 2026: “There’s a new genre of music growing on TikTok that I like to call UK Poo.” The Tab traces the wave back to an X post promoting one song, which passed 19.2 million views.
He later gave Dazed a checklist. The video should be “‘British’ straight away”, ideally “filmed on an iPhone, preferably outside of a corner shop or your local pub”, with a Lime bike or a Nike Tech fleece in shot, and the subject should be “a little outrageous”.
The name was tongue in cheek, and the scene ran with it. VE Media argued in September that a scene where nobody minds looking a bit awkward could make UK rap more adventurous. The Tab reported in August that the first UK Poo show had sold out, with the scene’s so-called “Big Three” on the bill.
“Slap Me Again”

SAVVY’s song is called “Slap Me Again”. Plenty of people know it as “Think Again”, after the closing line: “Think I let that slide? Think again.”
It comes from something that happened. Her older sister slapped her on a train, out of nowhere, as she tells it to VE Media, and she decided that next time she wouldn’t let it go.
- TikTok: the first clip, posted 25 June, has about 2.7 million views according to Toklytics, a third-party analytics site
- Single: released 14 August
- Video: uploaded 13 August, 617,388 YouTube views on 24 October
Why she lasts

SAVVY took a family row and turned it into a hook that people shout back at her, and she delivers it completely straight. She has become the face of a new scene and kept her sense of humour the whole way.
Most viral songs are gone in a week. This one has lasted from June to late October. If UK Poo has a headliner, it’s SAVVY, and she got there herself.
